Do I need a ticket to make a reservation for Disneyland?

Yes, you will need a valid theme park ticket to access the Disneyland reservation system and make a theme park reservation. However, you can preview open days before purchasing your tickets.

When will I get my tickets if my vacation is on a Layaway Plan?

Once your layaway plan is paid off, your ticket numbers will be sent to you. We recommend paying off your layaway at least 30 days in advance to secure your reservations, as popular travel dates may sell out before 30 days. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions.

Can I still buy tickets if I don’t know my travel dates?

Yes, you can purchase tickets without knowing your exact travel dates. However, it is recommended to have an estimated date when purchasing tickets. The dates you enter for travel on Get Away Today are not tied to your Disneyland reservation but are used to send you important vacation reminders via email. The most crucial dates are the ones you make your park reservations for directly through Disney.

Do I have to use my tickets on my reservation dates?

You must have a reservation for the date you plan to visit. However, you can reschedule your reservation dates through your Disneyland account if there is availability and it falls within your ticket limitations. For example, if you have a 3-Day Hopper ticket and have used it for 2 days but want to reschedule the third day, you must visit within 13 days of the first visit. If you decide not to go on your reserved dates, the tickets will remain in your account and be visible for booking new dates. It is recommended to modify your reservations if you cannot attend, to allow other guests to claim your spots.

How do I know if there will be reservations left when I buy my tickets from Get Away Today?

Before purchasing tickets, it is advisable to check Disneyland’s reservation system to ensure availability for your desired dates. You can access the reservation system here.

There are no reservations left for my dates, what do I do?

If you do not see any theme park reservations available for your travel dates, you have a few options:

1. Reschedule your Disneyland vacation. Unused tickets often don’t expire for some time, so check your ticket for expiration dates.
2. Continue checking the Disneyland availability calendar regularly. Reservations sometimes become available at the last minute, but this requires consistent checking.
3. Talk to your Get Away Today vacation specialist about upgrading your hotel stay to a Disneyland Resort Hotel. This may be a more expensive option, but it could potentially secure reservations for your desired dates. Staying on-property comes with extra perks like early entry and exclusive park entrances, making it a favorite way to experience the Disneyland Resort.

Disneyland Reservation System Details

When can I make a reservation for Disneyland?

You can make theme park reservations for Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park up to 180 days in advance on a rolling reservation window. For example, if today is January 15, 2024, theme park reservations are available for travel through July 13, 2024. The next day, reservations will be available up until July 14, 2024, and so on. You can make reservations one day at a time as they become available or wait until all of your desired dates are available to make them all at once. It is not necessary to wait for your theme park reservation dates to be available to purchase tickets. It is recommended to purchase tickets in advance so that you have the ticket numbers ready as soon as your theme park reservations become available.

How can I link my Disneyland eTicket(s) to my Disney account?

To link your Disneyland tickets to your Disney account, visit StartYourDisneylandExperience.com or log into the Disneyland app. Your Get Away Today Disneyland eTickets must be linked to your account to make a reservation. Once you sign in or create a Disney account, go to the My Theme Park Reservations page. Click the “Book Theme Park Reservations” button to begin linking your tickets and creating your party. You can link up to 5 tickets at a time, with a maximum of 10 tickets in total. Each ticket must have a different name assigned to it, as ownership cannot be changed once linked to a Disney account.

How do I make a park reservation?

After linking your Disneyland Resort ticket numbers to your Disney account, follow these five simple steps to make your party’s reservations through Disneyland’s reservation system:

1. Access Disneyland’s reservation system here.
2. Sign in or create a Disney account.
3. Create your party by linking your tickets.
4. Select the day and theme park you’d like to visit.
5. Review and confirm your visit.

Does my child need a park reservation?

Yes, every ticketed guest, including children, will need a park reservation. Children under 3 years old do not need a park ticket or reservation.

How far in advance can I make a park reservation for Disneyland?

Currently, the Disneyland Resort allows reservations to be made within a 180-day rolling window. If there are any changes to this policy, we will update you accordingly.

Do I need to make a park reservation on my own to visit the Disneyland Resort, or will Get Away Today make a park reservation for me?

You are responsible for making your own park reservation to visit the Disneyland Resort. Get Away Today is unable to make theme park reservations on your behalf as you must be logged into your Disney account to do so.

Can I make reservations on the day of my visit?

Yes, you can make reservations on the day of your visit, but availability is subject to park capacity. It is strongly recommended to make your reservations as close to the 180-day window as possible to secure your desired dates.

How many reservations can I make at one time?

You can make a reservation for up to 10 people at a time. If you have a larger group, it is recommended to have each individual family or party make their own theme park reservations and then link their tickets together through the app once the reservations are made.

If I have a multi-day ticket, can I reserve all of my days at once?

If you have a multi-day ticket, you will need to repeat the reservation process for each day of your ticket. You can choose to do this all at once or one day at a time if not all of your dates have been released yet.

Is there different availability for 1-Park per Day Tickets and Park Hopper Tickets?

Yes, there is a different availability calendar for 1-Park per Day Tickets and Park Hopper Tickets. This differentiation allows Disney to more accurately determine park attendance. When making your theme park reservations, you will only see availability for the ticket type you purchased.

What do I need to bring to show proof of reservations and ticket purchase?

On the day of your visit, you can use any of the following to gain access to the theme park:

• Get Away Today Disneyland eTicket(s) printed or on your device
• Disneyland tickets via the Disneyland app under “tickets and passes”
• MagicBand+ linked to your Disneyland tickets

Can I Park Hop as part of the Disneyland Reservation System?

Guests with Park Hopper tickets are allowed to Park Hop between Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park after 11:00 am PT each day, as long as capacity allows.

Do I need to reserve my Park Hopper reservation?

When making a reservation, you will need to select the park you wish to visit first. You do not need to select your second park. However, you must stay in the park you select first until 11:00 am PT. After that time, you can go back and forth between both parks as many times as you wish.

If I have a 1-Park per Day ticket, do I need to choose the park I want to visit when making a reservation?

Yes, you will need to choose the park you want to visit for each day of your ticket when making your reservation.

Can I leave the parks without losing my reservation?

Yes, you have in and out privileges all day of your reservation, subject to theme park capacity. Many guests enjoy mid-day breaks for activities such as swimming or napping. You can also visit Downtown Disney for shopping or meals and then return to the parks later.

Can I change my theme park reservations after I’ve made them?

Yes, you can change your theme park reservations based on availability. You can modify the dates and starting park as long as the desired date and park are available. Please note that tickets must be used within 13 days after the first day of use.

Can I change my ticket from One-Park-Per Day to a Park Hopper ticket? Can I upgrade the number of days I’ll be visiting the park?

Yes, you can upgrade your tickets by contacting us at 855-GET-AWAY. However, please be aware that making an upgrade will result in the loss of any existing theme park reservations.
